What a good decision, supports the gastro. The goose and everything that came with it, just perfect. Super friendly team and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. BUT I have to add one more thing ... whoever missed the mouse au chocolat ... let's go back! That is just heavenly delicious! Hopefully see you soon ... thank you all from the Alten Wirt team !!!

Very suitable for lunch and dinner, for coffee and cake and for events. We always go to the beer garden or the more modern part.

Great gastronomy and hotel operations, Price-performance ratio is right, the kitchen and hotel live organic and this with excellent employees. Since I have the impression that the owner or the owner family has a special relationship with wood and especially with stones, every bathroom is an experience.

Everything was super good bread received, no rating possible for the hotel, etc. because there was no overnight stay or dinner.

The food on site is highly recommended, both baked goods and the kitchen are of high quality. In our case, the staff was very courteous and friendly. The only flaw I note is that the rooms seem a bit out of date. The decor was neat but a bit old-fashioned. Curiously, however, this is not the case for the rest of the hotel. There the atmosphere works with its mix of modern elements and rustic, local charm. In addition, the endeavor to operate the company in a climate-neutral manner should be emphasized positively.

Had canceled the night. Had to pay the overnight stay although Bavaria has the highest Corona warning level and any travel is advised against. The old landlord in Grünwald insisted on paying the accommodation costs very very unpleasant owner

We were there for breakfast, great and high quality food, everything was very clean and new, you feel very comfortable!

I always enjoy going there, even though I live almost 20 km away because: - great food, especially species-appropriate animal meat (extremely important for me) - the bread as a side dish - a real treat - nice restaurant, great beer garden, friendly service. - Small, clear menu and always a daily menu on a slate - the price / performance ratio is right - Grünwald is a nice place to go for a walk afterwards. This restaurant is like a "spiritual oasis" for me; If I don't feel good and don't feel like cooking, I go there and then I feel better. However, I only know the hotel from the outside and have never stayed.

No matter what you take from the menu, be sure to get a few slices of bread from the in-house bakery! One of the best sourdough breads in Munich! In addition nice service and a surprisingly (for the place!) Fair price-performance ratio. Full points.

Very good and warm welcome

My husband, 3 month old son and I stayed in this hotel for 1 night. It was really nice. The rooms are simple, completely furnished with real wood and very cozy. The staff is very attentive, friendly and tries very hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast offers something for every taste and was very good. We were really happy and would love to come back.

4th birthday party in the Alten Wirt in Grünwald with dog: The Alte Wirt is an organic restaurant with a hotel, where you can also eat very tasty vegan (I asked when making the reservation whether there was something vegan). It was all delicious! We tried both vegan foods: one spaghetti with wild garlic pesto and one asparagus with smoked tofu. For dessert there was sorbet (I decided to go with rhubarb - amazing !!!). The men's fish and schnitzel were also very good (when asked)! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also took a lot of time with the reservation phone. The various dining rooms are nice and clean, including the toilets! Unfortunately it rained today, but the beer garden looks very inviting even in the rain :-). Thanks for this experience!

Beautiful hotel! Rooms are clean and have a very nice interiors. Really enjoyed the decor of the room, such as the colourful mosaic bathroom floor. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the open kitchen makes it possible to see how the chefs are preparing your meal. I would defenitely recommend this hotel!

Sober but very generous decor. Bright and friendly. Staff very friendly and attentive while very inconspicuous. Very pleasant. Prices lifted but okay. Food very good and plentiful.

Will only let me post if I give 1 star - but doesn't deserve any. the most expensive hotel I have found in Germany in 20 years. The cheapest rate was 199 euros for B&B for 2. The bed was only accessible from one side. The second person had to crawl from the bottom of the bed round to the side in a space about 1m high - due to the sloping ceiling. We asked for another room, and were charged 229 euros for one with a bed which could be accessed from both sides. Evening meal food was poor and expensive and breakfast was rubbish.
